Yu Shichiji
Yu is a Tokyo-based illustrator and designer. In 2003, she started her career as a freelance illustrator after having worked as an assistant for a costume designer in Tokyo. She mainly worked in an editorial industry for eight years and decided to move to London where she could learn design and western calligraphy to improve her skill. She spent four years studying and working in London and then moved to Brisbane, Australia to train in graphic design at Shillington College in 2016. She now works in both editorial and advertising industry using her
unique perspective.

イラストレーター。1983年生まれ、埼玉県在住。2002年、衣装デザイナーの早川タケジ氏に師事。イラストレーション青山塾を経て03年よりフリー。装画など書籍を中心に活動し、11年に渡英。15年までロンドンを拠点に制作活動を行う傍ら、カリグラフィーやデザインを学ぶ。16年、Shillington College ブリスベン校 グラフィックデザインコースを卒業。
以後、ユーモラスな視点でのイラストを生かして、書籍、広告イラストやデザイン、絵本制作など、幅広く活動中。
著書に絵本「シニッカさんどうしたの？」（'11, gg文庫）、主な作品に映画「四十九日のレシピ」('13)のイラスト制作など。
